For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many." (Mark 10:45)
Every year, Living Word Lutheran students and staff go out into the community to serve the needs of others and yet again, the Lord blessed the day with wonderful weather!
Students and staff were split up into various groups and headed to different locations across the community - as far as the Mequon Nature Preserve to as close as the Living Word Church & Child Development Center. From community clean up to testing fire hoses to moving boulders to weeding and mulching, T-Wolves took to the community at over a dozen project locations to put our mission into practice: Developing lifelong leaders for service in God's kingdom.
Even through a few hours at a location, a large impact is still made on Service Day! Hear from Jessica Loomans, Jackson Parks & Rec Operations Manager, speak more about the group who served at the Jackson Community Center.
"Thank you so much for sending that AMAZING group today! The Community Center looks 100x better from the weeds they pulled! I have never gotten so many compliments! The amount of work that they completed in just those few short hours is absolutely astonishing. These are projects we just never have time to get to and often get neglected, but the impact is just phenomenal!"
